Translation office


The Translation came into existence in 1996. It came as a fulfilment of a long-standing wish in IMBISA as a bilingual Organisation. IMBISA is the only Regional Association of Catholic Bishops' Conference in Africa that is bilingual, namely English and Portuguese. The Office was established to facilitate communication between Episcopal Conferences by making translations between the two language groups. Apart from translating documents, the office also provides simultaneous interpretations during meetings, Plenary Assemblies and Seminars.
